NOTICE AND CALL OF PUBLIC HEARING


PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Earlham Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on January 25, 2012, at 7:00 o’clock P.M. at City Hall, Earlham, Iowa. The tentative agenda for said hearing is as follows:


-Appeal from the Zoning Administrator’s denial of a building permit to erect an accessory building and accessory structure (bleachers). Permit denied due to accessory building exceeding the maximum square footage regulations and permitted number of accessory structures contained in the Earlham Zoning Ordinance. Permit also denied due to bleachers exceeding the front yard depth requirements contained in the Earlham Zoning Ordinance.


-Earlham Community School, building permit applicant.

-Application by Earlham Comunity School for a variance from the maximum square footage regulations, permitted number of accessory structures, and front yard depth regulations contained in the Earlham Zoning Ordinance.


Property Location: Earlham Community School Track and Football Field Complex, 535 N. Chestnut Avenue, Earlham, Iowa 50072.

This notice is given pursuant to Chapter 21, Code of Iowa, and Section 167.08 of the Earlham Code of Ordinances.

No person shall park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley or City-owned off –street parking area between November 1 & April 1 on any day when snow removal operations are in progress unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has ceased to fall. A snow emergency parking ban shall continue through the duration of the snow or ice storm and the forty-eight (48) hour period after cessation of such snow or ice accumulation, except as provided above upon streets, alleys or City-owned off-street parking areas which have been fully opened. Signs stating the parking restrictions during snow removal operations shall be posted. The ban shall be of uniform application and the Police Chief is directed to publicize the requirements widely using all available news media in October each year.
